The spine of Daniel Farke’s Leeds United side is likely to be where The 49ers spend most of their transfer budget this summer, as The Whites prepare for next season’s Premier League campaign.
A new goalkeeper will certainly be high on the Leeds radar, with The Whites already linked with nine potential replacements for Illan Meslier. Cover is also required in the middle of the Leeds defence.
Pascal Struijk continues to show he is injury prone and Leeds cannot afford to lose Ethan Ampadu’s impact in midfield next season. Max Wober is expected to leave, meaning Leeds need a new centre-back.
Leeds have also waved goodbye to Joe Rothwell and Josuha Guilavogui, meaning a couple of midfielders are required, as is a no.10 to replace Brenden Aaronson who has been rather hot and cold since returning.

Bought by Coventry for a measly £5m in the summer of 2024, playmaker Jack Rudoni has been superb for the Sky Blues this season. Despite their poor start under Mark Robins, Rudoni had a hand in 22 goals.
Of those 22, 21 came in the Championship for Coventry as Frank Lampard’s men reached the play-offs – but could not surpass Sunderland at the semi-final stage. Unsurprisingly, interest in Rudoni is growing.
LeedsUnited.News has been told by transfer expert Graeme Bailey that The Whites like Rudoni and while no enquiry has been made, Leeds are interested in doing a deal for the Coventry star this summer.
Interestingly, TeamTalk reported in 2022 that Rudoni was a player watched by Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds prior to the Argentine’s sacking while Rudoni was still at Wimbledon. Now, he is back on the Elland Road radar.

Leeds could be heavily involved with the Unique Sports Group
Rudoni is represented by the widely-renowned Unique Sports Group at the moment, an agency that looks after a whole heap of Premier League and Championship stars. Certainly, plenty on Leeds’ radar currently.
Djordje Petrovic, Finn Azaz, Cameron Archer, Troy Parrott and Callum Wilson are all represented by USG. It looks then as if Leeds will be in plenty of talks with representatives from USG during the summer window.
It is unclear at this stage how much Coventry would want for Rudoni but the chances are, given his stellar 2024-25 campaign, that they may look to triple or even quadruple their £5m outlay on the playmaker.
