King Charles III Stakes second favourite Asfoora is set to arrive in Newmarket on Friday for a second European campaign, but her trainer Henry Dwyer admits she has travelled over later than hoped in preparation for her repeat Royal Ascot bid.
The six-year-old, whose journey to her base in Britain encompassed legs at Sydney, Hong Kong, Qatar and Stansted, has been forced into a different schedule after she was unable to travel over as early as wished this month.
Asfoora had a barrier trial at Flemington last week before embarking on her travels, having kickstarted the year with an impressive Group 3 success at Morphettville last month before disappointing in a Group 1 at the same track a fortnight later when it was felt she ran flat.
