Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has confirmed another house change as Number 22 on Ramsay Street will have two new residents.

Terese Willis had previously moved out of the property after she rekindled her relationship with Paul Robinson, with scheming doctor Darcy Tyler renting the house over the past couple of months following his return to Erinsborough.

Terese is currently in the centre of the drama as Paul is wrapped up in the custody battle for baby Thomas Murphy, with the storyline seeing Jeffrey Swan confirmed as the boy’s father after initially faking a DNA test.

Next week’s scenes sees Cara Varga-Murphy speculate that she could potentially adopt Thomas after Chelsea abandoned him, though her wife Remi isn’t too enamoured with the idea to begin with.

Paul, meanwhile, is still upset over the possibility of losing the boy he has viewed to be his son, with Krista confiding in Terese that Paul would eventually have to make the choice to let Thomas go.

Things take a turn, however, when Chelsea returns to Erinsborough and pledges to take care of Thomas. Paul and Terese take her to see Cara, with a heated argument subsequently ensuing between the sisters.

The conflict leads to mixed feelings all around, with Cara struggling at the prospect of letting Thomas go. Remi, despite previously having mixed emotions regarding adoption, reaches out to Chelsea and urges her to consider Cara’s feelings as well as Paul’s before making a decision.

Paul suggests to Terese and Krista that he could potentially offer Chelsea a place to live, though they both implore him to drop the matter. He ignores their advice and offers Chelsea a room at the hotel, and begs her not to tell Terese of his knowledge regarding the DNA test.

The plan soon backfires as Krista spots Chelsea at Lassiters, and promptly informs Terese of the developments. Feeling betrayed, she puts her foot down and tells Paul that she’ll be moving back to Ramsay Street with Nell…

“Terese has always been honest about how she wanted to keep her house on Ramsay Street as an escape route in case things went wrong with Paul,” said an insider for the Australian soap.

“When Paul shows no signs of getting baby Thomas and Chelsea out of his life – despite the revelation that he has no obligation to them – it’s the final straw for Terese. She’s very relieved that she kept the house just in case – but can Paul still talk her round?”

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
