Two men were taken to hospital after being stabbed on Monday night. Merseyside Police were called to Beaver Grove and Walton Vale at around 10.40pm on May 26 after reports of a stabbing.
A 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old-man were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, which were not life threatening. Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for information following the attack. The force is speaking to witnesses and CCTV and house-to-house appeals.
Detective Inspector Steve Street said: “The investigation is in its early stages. It is not known how many people were involved in the assault and I would appeal to anyone who may have information to come forward.
“At this early stage, extensive enquiries are underway, including speaking to witnesses, forensics, CCTV and house-to-house. I would urge anyone with information to let us know, either by reporting to us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
“There is no place for knives in our communities and we will always seek to take positive action when we have information about people storing, carrying or using weapons.”
