Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh spoke about her recent surgery during Friday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain.

During the show, the presenter was speaking to Made in Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump after his recent health scare. The reality star had liver and kidney failure, which caused life-threatening sepsis.

As the 27-year-old told viewers they need to air their concerns to a doctor if they are suffering from sepsis symptoms, Ranvir shared her recent experience with emergency services.

She said: “It’s interesting, you know when I had my appendix ruptured a couple of weeks ago, about three weeks ago, the thing that made me call 111, I had sort of been writhing around all day straight after work.

“It was eight o’clock at night, and I thought, ‘Let’s check it’s not bowel cancer’. I don’t know, it’s because Lorraine’s team have been doing a bowel cancer thing.

“So, raising awareness genuinely works in the moment when you’re in pain, you go, ‘What could it be?’. So just planting a seed in the mind of someone.”

Cutting in, Rob revealed that doctors initially turned away the presenter despite being in intense pain. He said: “They told you it was nothing, I think, at first?” Ranvir agreed as she replied: “Yeah.”

At the start of May, the ITV star revealed she had to have urgent surgery after discovering her appendix had ruptured.

Ranvir told her followers on Instagram that she had hosted Lorraine on Wednesday and, by Thursday, was having surgery.

Admitting she felt a bit drained and foggy, thought coffee would fix the problem before suffering from a sudden stomach ache.

She captioned her snap: “I stay in bed all day. Turns out I had a ruptured appendix and had urgent surgery at midnight on Thursday!

“Woke up 5am on Friday morning, high on anaesthetic and certain I could get into work to host the show as normal [laughing emoji].”

“Pretty nasty few days, the bacteria had spread and infected my blood etc and told to take this week off by @jadeens I’m sore and shuffling around, can’t drive for a week, and no exercise for 4 weeks (! ) so really it’s the boredom that will kill me!”

She went on to detail having ‘horrendous’ shoulder pain before people rushed to wish the star well.

However, it looks as though Ranvir is doing much better as she fronted the ITV show on Friday alongside Rob Rinder.

Good Morning Britain is available to watch on ITVX.
