The daily health supplement brand is now available in more than 600 Costco stores, marking its first major move into physical retail

AG1 is entering the retail space for the first time through a national partnership with Costco. The move brings AG1’s single-serve 40-count stick packs to Costco shelves across the U.S., expanding beyond its direct-to-consumer business.

Founded in 2010 and formerly known as Athletic Greens, AG1 offers a formula that combines vitamins, minerals, probiotics and other nutrients in a single daily scoop. While the company has grown steadily through digital channels, the addition of a brick-and-mortar partner signals the expansion of its existing consumer demographics.

“This retail partnership marks a significant strategic milestone in our business,” said Kat Cole, CEO of AG1. “We’ve grown an incredible DTC business over the past 15 years, and it is time to expand access to the high-quality daily foundation nutrition of AG1 to customers who prefer a physical retail experience.”

Last year, Cole joined the company as CEO, and AG1 introduced AG1 Next Gen, a reformulated version of the product backed by clinical trials and now available online. The company has also pledged $20 million toward future research and product development over the next three years. AG1 is also certified by NSF for Sport, a designation often sought by athletes and healthcare professionals to ensure quality and safety.
