Leeds United and Rangers are now sister clubs after 49ers Enterprises completed their takeover of the Scottish giants.

There could be sanctions for Leeds and Rangers, as we exclusively revealed. However, that is unlikely to come into effect or be a potential issue for a number of seasons yet.

For now, Paraag Marathe sees Rangers as a ‘good investment’ alongside the 49ers’ project with the Whites. Both are now top flight clubs as well.

The news regarding the takeover has circulated for some time now, with fans thinking Marathe wants a multi-club model with Leeds and Rangers and that will bring up new ideas and questions.

One question will be regarding the differences in finance this will make. For example, Rangers and Leeds’ budgets could be split.

However, the other question will be regarding whether players will be shared on loan or even sold between the two clubs. Leeds supporters have already got their own ideas of what could happen.

One idea is regarding Jack Harrison, with one stating: “Can we sell Harrison to them 🤔”

The above was somewhat tongue in cheek, as is the next response: “Harrison to rangers for £60m.. PSR unlocked.”

He isn’t the only player Leeds fans are keen to see join Rangers in some capacity, with Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph also named as potential loans or sales. Another said: “joseph on loan to rangers and send em harrison. perfect.”

Harrison could return to Leeds and have a part to play but not many fans are keen for that to happen after two years away and after activating a loan clause to remain at Everton.

That said, David Prutton would retain Harrison but the majority of Leeds fans are in agreement over Harrison’s next steps and they do not involve him remaining at Elland Road.

Joey Barton claims Harrison is dreadful but Leeds moving him on won’t be simple, given his long contract until 2028 and his high wages after signing those terms to ward off Leicester City in 2023.

In PSR terms, Harrison would be an easy player to sell for a profit after amortising much of the fee to bring him permanently to Leeds From Man City. According to The Yorkshire Post, it could have reached as high as £15 million.

It’s why Leeds fans will be happy to hear that Harrison could be back at Everton yet. But perhaps Rangers could be another answer for the 28-year-old winger. His availability is a selling point but the output has dropped off dramatically in recent seasons.
