LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) – Two people are facing drug trafficking charges in Laurel County.
On May 28, Johnny Asher, 44, of Louisville, and Roberta Ann Benge, 49, of Manchester, were arrested on East 4th Street in London following a traffic stop.
During the stop, officers discovered a significant quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a smoking pipe.
Asher has been charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense – methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Benge has been charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense – methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
Both Benge and Asher were taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
