Jake Paul has detailed a roadmap to a world title that includes a host of big names, and revenge on his greatest rival.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer returns to the ring on June 28 against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr after breaking records with a farcical fight against Mike Tyson back in November.
While ‘Iron Mike’ was a legendary heavyweight champion, this bout will see Paul get his first taste of fighting a world champion who held a belt in this millennium. However, he is still coming in for criticism given Chavez’s history of issues outside the ring and the fact his best days were at middleweight.
Jake Paul includes KSI and Tommy Fury on hit list that ends in world title win
Jake Paul has named six fighters across varying weight classes and levels on his lengthy list of opponents after June 28. He had been planning to face Canelo Alvarez before Turki Alalshikh shut the fight down with a mega-money offer of his own, and he has now scrambled to take on Chavez.
He had also been in discussions with PBC for an exhibition bout with Gervonta Davis, whose draw with Lamont Roach cost him that match-up. However, he notably dismissed Alvarez in a new video for Most Valuable Promotions YouTube channel, while still including ‘Tank’.
“After Chavez I think Gervonta Davis, Anthony Joshua, KSI, Tommy Fury, Ryan Garcia, Badou Jack,” he said, before noting that he has a “pretty hefty list”.
Indeed, his list makes next to no sense from an athletic perspective; he would need to jump down a large amount and likely still do an openweight exhibition with either Garcia or Davis.
Then he’d go back to cruiserweight to take on Fury and Jack, who is WBC champion in the division, before heading back to heavyweight in order to take on Joshua. All the while, he’d somehow find time to sneak in a celebrity match-up with his long-time YouTube rival KSI.
Jake Paul claims Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will be his hardest career fight
Despite having lost to Tommy Fury, Paul believes that he will be tested even more by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on June 28 in California. He detailed exactly the key differences in the same video, noting that the Mexican has a more aggressive and difficult challenge.
“I would say Tommy has more speed and power and is more of a boxer when it comes to running away and using his footwork to move around,” Paul noted. “Whereas Chavez likes to make a fight happen, come forward and engage.

“He’s more methodical, comes forward and takes his time. He does a lot of work to the body… I think this very much could be [the toughest fight to date]. They say he’s training very hard, his father said it’s the most impressed with a camp he’s ever been.
“He’s a very very tough guy, but I also know what I’m capable of and I see a lot of holes in his game so I do think we can see an early knockout. I think I’m going to catch him because he has a lot of defensive openings… It could be tough, but it might be an easy night.”
