North London lettings agency Martyn Gerrard has snapped up Islington-based Carlton Estate Agents.

The acquisition is the latest move in what Martyn Gerrard calls its “ambitious expansion strategy”: the firm now boasts 15 offices across north and north west London.

Carlton has almost 30 years’ experience in Islington, based on the high-profile Upper Street. The acquisition was brokered by Adam J Walker & Associates.

Simon Gerrard, chairman of Martyn Gerrard, says: “We pride ourselves on our people-oriented culture to drive success for our clients, and I’m pleased to see the team at Carlton is perfectly aligned with us on this. We both share an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and having unparalleled expertise of the local areas we serve.”

And the firm’s director of lettings, Greg Tsuman, adds: “Carlton’s entry into the Martyn Gerrard fold marks an exciting new chapter in our growth journey as we expand our provision into Islington. We are always seeking quality businesses that align with our principles and want to benefit from the added-value that our deep expertise in the ever-evolving lettings landscape provides. Carlton’s integration strengthens our offering, providing clients with even greater choice of services like market-leading rent and legal protection; and access to exceptional rental opportunities across our expanding network of offices.”

Meanwhile Carlton co-founder Sara Roveta comments: “As specialists in lettings and property management, Martyn Gerrard are exceptionally well-positioned to guide clients through the evolving landscape brought about by the upcoming Renters Reform Bill. Our first commitment is to our customers, so I’m so pleased to be able to offer them this additional level of support and insight at such a critical juncture for their business.”
