A woman was found unresponsive by police officers after being sexually assaulted in Bristol.

On Sunday, April 27, just before 7pm, the victim was found in Easton.

A woman was sexually assaulted in Claremont Street, near the junction of Easton Way and Stapleton Road.

Officers were flagged down by a member of the public who reported the incident.

Police found the woman unresponsive and the ambulance were called.

She was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

A man is due in court in July having been charged in connection with the incident.

As part of ongoing enquiries, police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
