Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman in Belfast this morning.

Cordons are in place in the area on the Shore Road, north Belfast, as PSNI enquiries continue.

It is understood emergency services received a call to the scene.

One neighbour said there was a lot of shock in the area.

“We were woken by blue lights at about 1am this morning,” they said, speaking to the Belfast Telegraph from the scene.

“We went down and a police officer said ‘we are dealing with a very serious incident.

“There is a lot of shock in the area.”
