Police have shared a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after supermarket staff were assaulted in Birmingham.

Alcohol was reportedly stolen in the incident on Fairfax Road.

Since the ordeal on March 9, officers have been carrying out enquiries but have so far been unable to identify the man pictured.

They have shared an appeal to the public in the hopes of tracing him.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said that the incident happened at around 6pm.

They added: “Do you know who this is?

“We would like to speak with him after staff from a supermarket in Fairfax Road, Birmingham, were assaulted before alcohol was stolen, at around 6pm on 9 March.

“Since the incident, investigating officers have carried out CCTV enquiries but have been unable to identify this man.”

They continued: “If you can help with our investigation you can contact us via 101 quoting crime reference number 20/169830/25.”
