Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Lisa Swain instigates a heartfelt moment next week, as she addresses the mourners at Craig Tinker’s memorial when Kit Green fails to show up.
At the Bistro, a heartbroken group – including Maria Connor and Kirk Sutherland – gather to remember the late PC Tinker.
However, Lisa begins to worry when she realises that Kit’s agreed to say a few words, yet he is nowhere to be found.
“The plan was for Kit to stand up in front of everyone,” notes our Corrie source.

“But the copper doesn’t show his face – which is concerning, and also upsetting because of how much Craig looked up to him.
“Bernie and Sarah try to track him down, but Lisa opts to make her own poignant speech when it becomes clear that Kirk isn’t in a place to do it either. You’ll be wanting tissues…”
Before the emotional day, Kit and Lisa conclude that Craig’s memorial is going to be a tough time for all involved, before Kit reveals that Craig’s devastated family have asked for him to make a speech.
So, given that the request came from Craig’s grieving relatives, why would Kit leave them in the lurch?

Later, Carla takes a moment to confide in Betsy that she feels worried about Lisa, considering just how much she has been dealing with lately.
Once the pair share a chat, the factory owner comes up with a plan to take her partner’s mind off things.
“Carla is no stranger to grief,” our insider adds. “She knows that Craig’s death has hit Lisa hard for many reasons. It’s very sweet of her to try and take some weight off her shoulders, for a little while at least.
