This year marks the race’s first venture into Scotland, with stages in Kelso and a city-centre finale in Glasgow.

The Lidl-Trek women’s cycling team, with riders from Great Britain, New Zealand, Canada, and the Netherlands, is competing in the race.

Customers can find Dr Bike marquees within their local store car park, where they will receive a bike safety check-up from fully qualified mechanics.

The check-up will include basic fixes and maintenance advice.

For more serious issues, customers will be given a ‘Dr’s Note’ detailing what’s needed to get their bike running smoothly again.
