A top attraction has slashed its ticket prices for children.
Severn Valley Railway is popular throughout the year as a fun day out riding the heritage trains from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, stopping off to enjoy the river and sights along the way.
Freedom of the Line day tickets normally start from £26 for adults and £17.50 for kids but the volunteer-run attraction is running a special discount for children.

Children can travel for just £1 on Sunday June 8 and Sunday June 15 to mark SVR’s Step Back to the 1940s weekend events.
A spokesman said: “Kids can travel for just £1 at our Step back to the 1940s weekends on Sunday 8 & 15 June.
“There’s 1940s fun for all the family including vintage vehicles, a wartime wedding, displays, BBMF flypast, music and dance lessons, along the line and at our stations.
“Trains are currently operating between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade.”

The railway is popular with families. One fan shared this review on Google: “Brilliant for kids and adults alike, we must keep these places open for the future.
“Lots of events available throughout the year. Toilets on every station, lots of helpful friendly volunteers around. Small car parking space on every station, paid or free with blue badge.
“Disabled access on every platform and trains. The museum on the Higley stop is brilliant, lots to learn.”

“All the stations are beautiful and well kept, even the small ones. There is so much to see along the plus things to see and do at each area where the stations are.
“We did not manage to do everything but what we did experience at the two stops we got off at was wonderful. This is definitely a day out for all. Really enjoyed it and will be returning for sure!”
