Today, Spain will commence its search for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Austria.

Song submissions will open today at 10:00 CEST for Benidorm Fest 2026. Interested acts will have from today until September 24 at 23:59 CEST to submit their song in hopes of representing Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Full rules for the selection can be found here, and songs can be submitted here.

Once song submissions close in September, a panel will review the entries and select up to twenty to compete in Benidorm Fest 2026. A further six backup entries will be chosen should one of the participants be unable to compete.

Spain was represented by Melody at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Esa Diva”. She finished 24th in the Grand Final, scoring 37 points, 27 points came from the jury and 10 points from the public vote.
