Ukrainian forces have destroyed a missile strike on a Russian missile unit preparing to fire from the Bryansk region.

The unit, part of Russia’s 26th missile brigade, had reportedly been targeting a Ukrainian settlement, likely the capital, Kyiv.

Ukrainian military and Security Service teams coordinated the attack, using precise reconnaissance to hit the site. One Russian missile launcher was destroyed in the strike, and two others are believed to have sustained damage.

Officials say the action prevented civilian casualties and disrupted the planned Russian assault. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed as Ukraine’s defence efforts continue.
