Edinburgh drivers have been warned of delays on the city bypass.
Traffic Scotland urged motorists to ‘approach with caution’, after a breakdown between the Calder and Baberton junctions. The A720 was restricted from around 7.20pm, with ‘longer than normal’ journey times expected.

Traffic Scotland said: “The A720 is restricted eastbound between Calder and Baberton junctions.
“Motorists are advised to approach with caution and expect longer than normal journey times.”
For morotists heading onto the M8, Traffic Scotland also warned of restrictions between junctions 3a and 4, with essential roadworks underway.

They added: “The M8 between Junction 3a and 4 is currently restricted in both directions due to continuous essential roadworks.
“Motorists should be aware that delays are possible.”
