A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after another teenager the same age was found seriously injured in Glasgow.

The alleged victim was found seriously injured in Glasgow last Friday. The 15-year-old was found hurt in Denbeck Street, in the city’s Shettleston area, at around 10.30pm on May 29, 2025.

He was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and has since been discharged. The 15-year-old suspect was charged with attempted murder when he appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.

The boy from Glasgow, who cannot be named for legal reasons, did not enter a plea. The case against him was continued for prosecutors to investigate further and he was released on bail.

Emergency services raced to the alleged stabbing and the teen was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries. He has since been discharged.

Investigations established that four individuals, all dressed in dark clothing, were seen fleeing the area and heading towards Shettleston Road and then onto Wellshot Road.
