Cristiano Ronaldo said that he almost definitely not be playing in the Club World Cup, on loan to a team in the competition, despite receiving multiple offers.
FIFA had hoped that one of football’s biggest stars would feature in their new tournament, despite Al-Nassr not qualifying, but Ronaldo does not plan leave his club in Saudi Arabia to do so.
“It’s almost decided that I will not take part at the FIFA Club World Cup despite receiving many invitations and proposals,” Ronaldo said.
“There have been talks, contacts… but you have to think about short, medium and long term.”
