A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following and incident this morning. During the early hours of Saturday a motorcyclist was airlifted to Aintree Hospital to be treated from injuries from the Isle of Man.

Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team and HM Coastguard Crosby assisted the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter with getting the patient to hospital safely.

The coastguard shared an update on its Facebook. It said: “During the early hours of this morning, the team was tasked alongside HM Coastguard Crosby to establish a safe and secure landing site for Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 936, which was inbound to Aintree Hospital with an injured motorcyclist from the Isle of Man.

“Once safely on the ground, Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted with the patient transfer.”
