After announcing that his WWE contract wasn’t being renewed last Sunday, R-Truth is seemingly already back with the company.

In the closing moments of tonight’s Money in the Bank premium live event, a hooded figure jumped the barricade and attacked John Cena. The figure revealed himself to be R-Truth as a majority of the WWE Universe rejoiced. But what just happened? Was last week’s announcement a work? Or did WWE listen to their fanbase and roster and choose to make things right?

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Truth is back with the company and will be going by Ron Killings going forward. At least that’s the initial word.

Ron Killings is R-Truth’s real name. He also used the name Ron “The Truth” Killings during his time with TNA Wrestling, where he had a reign as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

As for whether this situation was a work or not, Truth spent last week negotiating appearances and independent appearances following the expiration of his WWE contract.

Johnson states WWE’s decision to bring Truth back in the fold happened within the last 72 hours.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on R-Truth’s WWE status as it becomes available.
