The Finnish representative Erika Vikman is set to travel to Germany later this month to promote her Eurovision Song Contest participation.

Erika Vikman will be promoting her participation in the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest later this month in Germany. Germany is one of a number of countries the singer is visiting ahead of the contest in Basel to build interest in “Ich Komme”.

As part of her promotional activities in Germany she is set to perform at the Finnish Embassy in Berlin on April 24. ESC Factful is currently organising a giveaway for five fans to attend to performance in the German capital.

In the past ten years Germany has voted for Finnish entries in the contest a handful of times:

  • 2014 – 4 points from Germany
  • 2015 to 2020 – No points given to Finland from Italy
  • 2021 – 8 points from the German televote
  • 2022 – 7 points from the German televote and 1 point from the German jury in the Semi-Final
  • 2023 – 12 points from the German televote
  • 2024 – 3 points from the German televote in the Semi-Final

Erika Vikman won UMK 2025 and will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Ich komme”. She will close the second semi-final on May 15. You can watch our interview with the singer from Eurovision in Concert 2025 below:

Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. They debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ‘nul points’ three times. It wasn’t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
