Gogglebox’s Manchester family have announced on social media that a ‘heartbreaking’ death has occurred.

The family have been on the Channel 4 programme for over a decade, providing hilarious reactions to the best TV moments of the week.

Consisting of Tom, Julie, Tom Jnr and Shaun, the family are one of the most popular to emerge from the lighthearted Friday night show.

While they joined the cast as a family all the way back in 2014, Tom Jnr left to pursue other projects in 2021.

Tom and Julie’s daughter, Vanessa, has occasionally made appearances. Away from Gogglebox, Tom Sr works as a lorry driver, while Julie is a receptionist. As for Tom Jnr, he has worked as a freelance model and street dance choreographer.

Known for their love of dogs, the family have been joined by the likes of Lucy, Dave, Izzy, Joe and Bob over the years.

With Lucy passing away in 2022 and Dave in 2023, the Malones have announced that Bob died over the weekend.

In a post of her own, Julie paid a candid tribute to Bob, sharing an image of the late dog wearing an adorable suit.

She captioned her post: “Today we said goodbye to our beautiful protective Bobby, he spent his last day doing what he loved, watching over the grandchildren playing in the garden.

“We are heartbroken. RIP our beautiful Big Bob xx”

The comments section of both posts saw the family’s Gogglebox colleagues and fans sending their support during their time of grieving.
