A murder investigation has been launched after a teenage boy tragically died following an incident in north Manchester on Sunday (June 8).
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to an incident on Nevin Road in Moston. The residential street was taped off with forensics also called to the scene.
Just yards away, the nearby Fairway Inn pub was also cordoned off and was the subject of police searches and investigations throughout the evening. An air ambulance was scrambled and landed in nearby Nuthurst Park at around 5pm.

Witnesses claimed how the teenager, whose age has not been confirmed, was attacked near to the pub before running to a property on Nevin Road.

A murder investigation has been launched by detectives at Greater Manchester Police, with three suspects currently in custody. The victim’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
Superintendent Marcus Noden said “This is a distressing and heart-breaking incident where a boy has lost his life. We are still trying to establish the circumstances around the incident and have a number of scenes in place.
“Officers are looking for information or eye witness accounts from anyone who was in the Nevin Road area of New Moston at around 5pm today quoting log 2250 of 8/6/25.

“Information can be reported by calling 101 or anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“You can also use the reporting tools on our website – always call 999 in an emergency. We will bring updates as we get them as the investigation continues.”
