Emmerdale spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (9 June), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale airs the emotional fallout from Nate Robinson’s death tonight – as Tracy reveals how their young daughter Frankie is responding to the terrible news.
As suspicion and accusations continue to run rife around the village, there’s a sobering moment as Tracy explains that 4-year-old Frankie is struggling to understand her father’s fate.
Tracy insists on working at the local shop as usual, but her boss Eric Pollard fears she needs to take some time out.
When Eric questions how things are at home, Tracy replies: “Frankie doesn’t really understand that her dad’s properly gone forever.
“And I don’t really know how to feel.”

Later, Belle Dingle pays a visit to Tracy at home to check on her. Tracy explains that she’s made little progress with helping Frankie to understand the reality of the situation.
Tracy says: “She’s [upstairs] watching cartoons for 10 minutes. A nice distraction, because she doesn’t understand why her mum’s so upset all the time.”
The emotional scenes come as two opposing theories over Nate’s fate dominate discussion in the village.
Tracy is convinced that Cain Dingle was responsible for Nate’s demise, as he violently attacked his son on the day that he disappeared.

Cain, meanwhile, reckons Tracy is deflecting to cover up her own guilt in the case.
With everyone on the wrong track, it’s good news for Nate’s real killer John Sugden.
John accidentally caused Nate’s death last September and hid his body in a local lake. So far, nobody suspects that he’s responsible for the terrible crime.

Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy, recently said: “Everything that unfolds after the initial news of Nate’s death is just heartbreaking. And obviously the main person Tracy’s thinking of in all of this is Frankie.
“It’s that whole concept of Frankie losing him as a dad and how amazing he was as a dad to her. And weirdly, how amazing Jurell [Carter, who played Nate] was with Frankie, who’s played by Eden [Ratcliffe-Knights].
“It pulls on the heartstrings a bit for me, I have to say.”
Emmerdale airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1. The episode is also streaming now on ITVX.
