A man was found dead inside a vehicle at a petrol station on Saturday afternoon (June 7).

The man was found by Morrisons Filling Station in Kennedy Way, Tiverton.

Police were called at 2.50pm following a concern for the welfare of a man.

The man, who was in his 40s, was located inside a vehicle.

The ambulance service also attended the scene.

The man was pronounced as deceased at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at 2.50pm on Saturday, June 7, following concern for the welfare of a man in Tiverton.

“The man in his 40s was located within a vehicle by Morrisons Filling Station in Kennedy Way.

“Ambulance also attended.

“Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
