As the sun beams down, many Brits will be flocking to beer gardens this weekend. However, ale enthusiasts in one UK city can savour their pint a little more, knowing they’re sipping on the nation’s cheapest brew.
The seaside town of Blackpool takes the top spot, with an average pint price of just £3.25. Northampton trails behind at £3.50, followed by Derby at £3.60.
New data from credit card company Aqua has unveiled which cities offer the best value for a budget-friendly pub outing. Predictably, capital cities London and Belfast are the priciest places to buy a pint, both averaging at £6.00, as reports the Express.
Bristol follows closely behind with a pint setting you back £5.60.

The study also revealed the UK cities with the highest number of pub gardens relative to their population. Crawley clinches the top spot, boasting 2,312 beer gardens for every 100,000 residents, providing ample space for locals to bask in the summer sunshine.
Luton comes in second place, boasting 1,616 beer gardens for every 100,000 residents. Dudley secures the third spot, with 1,257 beer gardens per 100,000 people and a population of just 199,059.
In contrast, Belfast has been identified as the least favourable destination for a beer garden outing. The capital of Northern Ireland not only charges £6.00 for a pint but also falls short in terms of beer gardens, offering a mere 8 per 100,000 people.
