Say what you will, but Meghan Markle is the queen of high-low fashion. By that I mean, the Duchess, actress and entrepreneur knows how to pair designer clothing and accessories with pieces you can scoop up at the local mall—and I love her for that. Remember when she shared her ShopMy page and it was revealed that cozy beige sweater she wore on With Love, Meghan was from GAP? Or when we ID’d her trousers and figured out they were Zara? Her latest high-low moment was recently spotted at Disneyland, where Markle spent the day in her comfortable Birdies flats.

Over the weekend, Markle shared a video that captured she and her family enjoying Disneyland for Lilibet’s fourth birthday. As a shopping editor and flats lover, I couldn’t help but notice her footwear—she’s distinctively wearing Birdies The Starling, which she’s been seen wearing before.

Honestly, not a surprise she’d wear the Starling to Disneyland, as it makes for an excellent on-your-feet-all-day shoe. Technically a loafer, the Starling features seven (!!!) layers of cushioning, which protects your arches, heels, and balls of your feet as you race from California Adventure back to Splash Mountain in Disneyland proper. (As someone who lives an hour away from Disney and has been to the park many, many times, I can attest that it’s sooo important to go in a pair of trusty shoes!)

Plus, the shoes are no-slip, so even if you’re running after littles, you don’t have to worry about slipping on wet pavement because you’re wearing the wrong footwear. These come in over a dozen colors and patterns: I have a simple black pair, and love how they go with everything without me having to think about it, but you can choose from so many pretty patterns and fabrics (leather, velvet, woven, calf hair).

Meghan and I aren’t the only ones who love this shoe. Shoppers on the internet have spoken as well. “I have 5 pairs of Starling shoes and I absolutely love them. I wore one pair to Spain this spring and they were so comfortable, I wore them every day for touring. Much more stylish than tennis shoes,” one customer says on Birdies’ website.

“I’m obsessed with these! Very high quality, COMFORTABLE, and they go with so many outfits. I live in a warmer part of the country and can wear them the majority of the year,” another says.

Whether you want to copy the Duchess, or just need a comfy pair of no-break-in flats, the Starling is a solid investment.
