Love Island viewers are concerned about a particular islander’s fate in tonight’s dumping

Love Island fans have expressed their worries over the fate of a female contestant, speculating that she may be ousted from the villa.

Maya Jama, the show’s presenter, dropped a shocker at the end of Monday’s premiere, hinting at an unexpected departure looming. Just as the couples had settled in, American newcomer Toni was introduced to the villa, causing a stir.

Toni was tasked with stealing a man from one of the newly formed couples, leaving his current partner single. She selected Ben, putting Shakira in a precarious position and potentially facing elimination from the show.

But the drama didn’t end there, as Maya added another twist. She told Shakira that she had 24 hours to graft and get acquainted with the other lads.

In Tuesday night’s episode, Shakira will have the opportunity to choose a lad she wants to steal from another girl, securing her place in the villa. However, there’s a catch – the chosen lad must consent to the swap, or it won’t proceed, reports the Mirror.

If Shakira chooses a lad who doesn’t agree to the switch, he’ll remain with his current partner and Shakira will be shown the door. If Shakira successfully secures a swap, the girl currently paired with the lad she selects will be sent home instead.

Given that the dumping has likely already been filmed, viewers are convinced they’ve worked out who’s been given the boot, speculating it’s clear who Shakira will pick and who will be left single.

The general feeling among the audience is that Blu might be tempted by Shakira, putting Alima at risk of being voted off.

“After seeing how Blu is, I’m scared Alima’s gonna be dumped,” wrote a worried viewer on X. The couple’s troubles began from day one in the villa, when Blu made a remark that didn’t sit well with Alima.

Upon his arrival, host Maya quizzed the newcomer about his feelings towards being chosen by Alima, based on a fake dating profile. Blu’s response was: “Every girl is beautiful here.”

Maya didn’t let this slide, quickly retorting: “Every girl is beautiful but Alima chose you!”

Fans also took issue with his answer, as seen on social media where one commented: “He was weird for that,” and others labelled him “a walking red flag.”

On the other hand, some viewers have been hailing 23-year-old Alima as one of their favourite contestants so far. “Who’s your favourite islander so far and why is it Alima?,” shared one.

Later in the episode, Alima confronted her partner about the the controversial statement, with Blu admitting that she just isn’t his preferred type.

Now, the audience is convinced Alima’s departure is inevitable. “It’s sad that Alima may get dumped tomorrow,” lamented an ITV fan.

An additional comment reads: “So Alima could potentially get dumped tomorrow??? Because she and Blu definitely do not have a connection and he might pick Shakira.”

Another viewer shared a tearful emoji, stating: “Alima is definitely getting dumped tomorrow.”

Viewers of the show have shown their support for the star, urging the producers to reconsider any plans to remove her from the programme first.

Supporters shared messages such as “Producers are actually going to hell if Alima gets dumped” and “Alima better not get dumped I will drop this show so fast.”

A third chimed in, warning that if the Glasgow-based star leaves tonight “the show will lose some viewers.”
