The OMNi Centre in Edinburgh is set to undergo a £5 million transformation with work to begin this month.

The leisure and entertainment destination was bought by international investment group Triple B in April 2024 and plans were instantly put in place to enhance and promote the area.

The group insists locals will be at the heart of the project and it will be a major refurbishment for the venue which first opened in 2002.

As well as having outlets such as Nandos, Vue, Wetherspoons and more, it is also home to the boutique hotel The Glasshouse.

This refurbishment will include improvements to walkways and new flooring throughout the centre, an enhanced main entrance, new LED lighting, new seating areas and substantial internal structural work to create space for people to meet with each other and spend time.

“This transformation will bring exciting new features, modern amenities, a brand revamp and the introduction of live events and experiences, creating a space that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the 4+ million visitors we welcome each year.
