Love Island fans have expressed worries about the future of a female contestant speculating that she may be ousted from the villa.

Host Maya Jama dropped a shocker at the conclusion of Monday’s premiere, announcing an unexpected departure was imminent. Just as the couples were finally matched up, a surprise twist saw American stunner Toni enter the villa to shake things up.

Toni was tasked with stealing a chap from one of the newly formed couples, leaving his current partner single. She selected Ben, putting Shakira in the danger zone and at risk of being ejected from the show.

But the drama didn’t end there, as Maya threw another spanner in the works. She informed Shakira that she had 24 hours to graft and get acquainted with the other lads.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Shakira will have the opportunity to select a lad she wants to steal from another girl, securing her place in the villa. However, there’s a catch – the chosen lad must consent to the swap, or it won’t proceed, reports the Mirror, reports OK!.

If Shakira selects a lad who doesn’t agree to the switch, he’ll remain with his current partner and Shakira will be sent home. If Shakira manages to secure a swap, the girl currently paired with the lad she chooses will be sent home instead.

Given that the dumping has likely already been filmed, viewers are convinced they’ve deduced who’s been given the boot, speculating it’s clear who Shakira will choose and who will be left single.

After the latest dramatic twist in the show, a flurry of fan theories has emerged on social media, with many predicting an impending departure for a certain female contestant.

The common suspicion among viewers is that Blu may be tempted by Shakira, leaving Alima in jeopardy of being ousted from the competition.

In a concerned message, one viewer took to the internet, writing: “After seeing how Blu is, I’m scared Alima’s gonna be dumped,” The couple’s romance faced turbulence right from the start at the villa, following an off-colour remark made by Blu.

Upon his entrance, host Maya quizzed the new islander on his feelings about being picked by Alima, who had innocently coupled up with him based on a deceiving dating profile.

To this, Blu remarked: “Every girl is beautiful here.”

Not letting this generalisation slide, the host rebutted sharply: “Every girl is beautiful but Alima chose you!”.

The comment caused a stir among fans too, with one venting online: “He was weird for that,” and others branding the newcomer as “a walking red flag.”

Eventually, the pair clarified the issue, where Blu noted that Alima wasn’t his preferred type.

This revelation has led supporters to fear for Alima’s position in the contest. “It’s sad that Alima may get dumped tomorrow,” lamented another ITV follower.

Speculation continued to mount as another person expressed: “So Alima could potentially get dumped tomorrow? ? ? Because she and Blu definitely do not have a connection and he might pick Shakira.”

Adding an emotive touch to the speculation, a different viewer commented with a tearful emoji, saying: “Alima is definitely getting dumped tomorrow.”

Supporters have united in support of Alima, urging producers not to let her be the first contestant eliminated.

Statements such as “Producers are actually going to hell if Alima gets dumped” and “Alima better not get dumped I will drop this show so fast,” have been flooding social media.
