Grace Black was finally caught out on Hollyoaks following her betrayal of her sister, Clare Devine.

Grace has descended into villainy over the past few months, with the figure running a criminal empire – with the help of Rex Gallagher and DI Alistair Banks – which exploited teenagers such as Frankie Osborne and Dillon Ray.

After Rex was arrested and the corrupt Banks was shot dead, Grace has been scrambling to keep her name in the clear as the walls have closed in, with the arrival of her sister – long thought to be deceased – confusing matters even more.

Monday’s (9 June) episode saw Grace finally answer for her crimes as she was arrested, though she was soon released from custody pending further investigation. In a late twist, Grace handed Tori – Clare’s adopted daughter – to the Blakes, saying she’d be “better off” there.

Tuesday’s (10 June) instalment began as an enraged Clare discovered that Tori was missing, with a tearful Grace lying by saying she had sent the child to the shops. As they headed out, Clare was intercepted by Donny and Dodger, who informed her that Tori was with the Blakes.

A deceitful Clare denied all involvement in the criminal operation, with the villain also justifying the circumstances in which she came to adopt Tori. Dodger, meanwhile, demanded information on the death of his cousin Dennis, unaware that Jez was the culprit.

Grace, meanwhile, was devastated by the apparent death of Freddie, remaining unaware that he had merely left the village. After Frankie relayed that Clare had threatened her family, she remarked that Grace had “destroyed her life”.

Grace later had to confront her actions as a tearful Clare was distraught over Tori’s absence, with the latter declaring that the siblings should always have “each other’s backs”. Consumed with guilt, Grace resolved to get Tori back.

As Clare headed to Tori, Dodger revealed that Grace was the one who had handed the child to their family. As Clare’s face was filled with rage, what sort of vengeful plan does she have in store for her sister?
