A Barnard Castle girl crowned Little Miss Teen County Durham is hoping to replicate her success at a nation-wide contest.
Carys-Grace Ramsay, 11, has seen off hundreds of young girls across the country to make it to the Miss Teen Great Britain final.
Carys has been involved with pageants since the age of four, when she first watched her sister in pageants and decided to follow in her footsteps when she was old enough.

Since then, she has raised more than £10,000 for various charities and is currently an ambassador and regular volunteer for Sunderland based 4Louis – supports families who have experienced child loss – and Love, Amelia – supporting children in need.
Carys also uses her pocket money to buy goods for food banks and collects period products and donates them to community hubs, schools and homeless charities.
Her mum Melissa Ramsay said: “I am so very proud of her, she has a heart of gold and just wants to help people.
“She has been through a tough time over the last few years with her personal life and she lost her confidence.
“Pageants have brought that confidence back and you can see her beaming when she’s on the stage. We are very much looking forward to October to the finals.”

“Last year I placed top five as well as some amazing side awards.”
Girls aged 10-19 from across Great Britain will compete for the crown at the grand final in Blackpool.
The winner of Miss Teen Great Britain will walk away a cash prize, dresses, a sparkling sash and crown.

The finalists also have the chance to stay in the ‘luxurious’ Boulevard Hotel in Blackpool before the awards night.
The finals will be held on Saturday, October 11 at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool.
The finalists will take part in a beauty queen challenge day, pyjama diva party at the hotel and much more.
