Police have issued a CCTV image a man officers would like to identify after a shop robbery in Bordesley Green.
Detectives said a man went behind the counter at the store at around 8.30pm on February 11 and demanded a cash register be opened.
A staff member was hit with an object when they refused to open the till for the robber.

The robber managed to steal cigarettes and fled from the building.
The exact location of the shop was not disclosed by West Midlands Police.
But the force has issued a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to following the robbery.

A force spokesperson said: “Recognise this man?
“We’re looking to speak to him after a robbery in Bordesley Green.
“At 8.30pm, on February 11, a man entered a shop and went behind the counter demanding the till be opened.

“When a member of staff refused, they were hit with an object before the man stole cigarettes and left the building.
“Since the robbery, our officers have carried out extensive CCTV and door-to-door enquiries.

“Now, they are releasing the image of this man in the hope someone recognises him.
“If you recognise this man, contact us via 101 quoting crime number 20/142476/25.”
