A man was tragically found dead near a playing field in Greater Manchester.
Officers were called out to the scene on Green Lane in Horwich, near Bolton, on Wednesday morning (June 11).
It’s understood police were initially called out to concerns for a man’s welfare.
By 8am a blue forensic tent had been erected, between the playing field and a construction site.
Images from the scene on Wednesday showed police had taped off an area of land, near to where diggers were based.

Officers were seen manning a cordon, while paramedics had been seen in attendance earlier in the morning.
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that a body of a man was found at the scene.
Work to identify him was ongoing on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident is not believed to be suspicious and a coronial investigation is likely to take place.
