German mechanical engineering companies have called on the German government and the European Union (EU) in an unusually sharp manner to strengthen the competitiveness of European companies in the tough competition with Chinese companies. To this end, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and its members have formulated a position paper, which was presented in Frankfurt on Thursday.
