The 49ers are building up their transfer plan as the window reopens in three more days, and plenty of movements could be happening.

There was never going to be much happening in the opening week of the transfer market for Leeds United.

Despite Paraag Marathe always nailing down an ‘aggressive’ approach for Leeds in the window, it seems as if the Whites hierarchy are taking care.

This hasn’t stopped many names being linked however, with very ambitious moves potentially in the pipeline.

But this newest target might not be beaten this window; it could be a sensational deal if pulled off.

The likes of Tammy Abraham have been linked to Leeds in deals that fans may not consider realistic.

Although this is the case for the time being, the 49ers plan to spend on the level of Newcastle United in the future.

This could attract a wide range of targets to Elland Road, with Marathe hoping the end goal is Europe for Leeds.

Well, if they land this next target, it won’t only be unimaginable, but it would show serious ambition.

GIVEMESPORT are reporting that Leeds are ‘on course’ to be contacted by Douglas Luiz’s intermediaries to discuss what it would take to sign the Juventus star.

A seriously ambitious ploy, but Juventus are ready to put Luiz up for sale, after the Brazilian’s failed £42m move from Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old is currently valued at £30m according to the outlet’s sources, as the Whites could land a bargain deal for an excellent midfielder at this level.

Leeds target Douglas Luiz been told he’s ‘better than Declan Rice’

Now, this might be a name Leeds fans didn’t expect so early on in this incredible project, but here we are.

The former Villa star was a sought-after candidate at the end of the 2023/24 season after being a standout in Unai Emery’s midfield.

Douglas Luiz’s 23/24 PL statistics for Aston Villa Games played 35 Goal involvements 14 (9G+5A) Chances created 53 Dribble success % 60% Tackles won % 65.5%

This attracted plenty of interest, but the Serie A giants were the ones to land the Brazilian, and now, a couple of years later, extraordinarily, Leeds are on his radar.

The Whites have listed a central midfielder as a ‘priority’, and if Luiz arrives for just £30m, it could be deemed the deal of the window.

GMS also state that they will face competition from the likes of Man United, but the fact that Daniel Farke’s side are even involved is great to see.

Pundit Jermaine Pennant might excite fans even more as he claimed Luiz was ‘better than Declan Rice’ during that 23/24 season.

It’s extremely ambitious, but Leeds’ services are on the table, and Luiz has plenty of time to consider them.
