The attackers drive away as more Good Samaritans, said to have come out of a shop, come to the scene.

One has a broomstick and they help the rider, who seems to be uninjured, back to his feet.

The scenes were witnessed by Syed Miah, who said: “I was parked on the side road. Suddenly I saw masked guys with moped trying to take the bike from the delivery guy.

“Then some local Muslim guys came out of a shop and helped the delivery guy.”

West Midlands Police is aware of the incident, which happened just before 8.40pm on Tuesday, June 10 and is working on a statement.
