Leeds United will want to search for Premier League targets, but they could still uncover some Championship gems in the top flight.

Jayden Bogle could turn out to be a good example of this, as if the right-back continues this season’s form into the big time, his £5m will look incredible.

There is inspiration on Leeds’ side of things as they look to do the same with Gustavo Hamer this window.

Sheffield United are resigned to losing Hamer, and with Chris Wilder set to be sacked, this transfer is firmly on.

Another Championship target will be leaving this summer, with Leeds in the running, and the 49ers are willing to pay for his services.

The Whites’ defensive department might need sharpening up this window, with Junior Firpo set to join Real Betis.

Daniel Farke will have to rely on squad options in the top flight as the Premier League can be a cruel mistress for injuries.

This is where Japhet Tanganga can come in as the Tottenham defender looks destined to leave Millwall this summer.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

Leeds have emerged as Tanganga’s suitor with Farke’s side among a plethora of clubs this window.

Well, the 26-year-old will have plenty to consider after a new update, which sees a vast number of options on the table.

Express are reporting that Crystal Palace have now entered the running for Tanganga and will likely firm up their pursuit if they sell Marc Guehi.

All three promoted clubs in Leeds, Sunderland, and Burnley are keen, as they have all indicated they would pay the defender’s £1.2m release clause, but at the moment, Palace have the edge.

Tanganga would be the perfect option for Leeds in the Premier League

It appears as though the former Spurs centre-back is a sought-after target this summer.

His performances at Millwall ultimately showed that he is still Premier League level after falling out of Tottenham’s plans, and Leeds can be the side to make him that standard of defender once again.

Tanganga’s 24/25 Championship statistics with Millwall Games played 40 Tackles won per 90 0.94 Tackles won % 66.1% Duels won 233 Aerial duels won % 63.4%

What’s special about the 27-year-old is not only his aggressive defending but also his versatility, with Tanganga capable of playing at full-back, which will come in handy now that Firpo is on his way out.

Not only does he make for the ideal squad option, but Farke could easily get him to challenge the likes of Joe Rodon for the starting place at centre-back, especially with his Premier League experience.

Leeds will have £100m to their name this summer, and for £1.2m for Tanganga, it seems like the most obvious buy of the window. Now, it’s up to the player himself.
