Gov. Mike Kehoe announced Friday that he and a delegation from the state will travel to Paris next week for the governor’s first international trade mission.

According to a news release from the governor’s office, the trip will include meetings with businesses that already have an established presence in Missouri and encouraging other companies to put future investments in other locations across Missouri. France currently is the 13th-largest export destination for Missouri goods, with more than 40 French companies currently operating in Missouri, according to the release.

“We’re looking forward to promoting the Show-Me State as the ideal place to invest during our first international trade mission,” Kehoe said.

Notable companies from Missouri that Kehoe will be meeting with on his visit include Boeing, Leonardo DRS, and Schneider Electric, among others.

Kehoe will also be making stops at the Paris Air Show, as well as the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial to honor fallen World War II veterans from Missouri.

Lt. Gov. David Wasinger will serve as acting governor while Kehoe is out of the country, which will allow Wasinger the power to exercise certain powers with written consent of the governor.
