Leeds United must not waste more time and finalise Bijol’s transfer

Leeds must swiftly finalise the signing of Bijol, as the 26-year-old Slovenian centre-back has agreed to terms, with talks ongoing for a £17million fee.

Delays could allow rival clubs to hijack the deal, given Bijol’s 63 caps and Serie A experience.

Arranging his medical promptly is crucial to secure his signature before competitors escalate interest, especially with Udinese holding firm at their valuation.

Bijol’s physicality and leadership would bolster Leeds’ defence alongside Joe Rodon, addressing their need for Premier League resilience.

Once confirmed, Leeds should pivot to alternative targets like Habib Diarra to strengthen other positions.

Speed is essential to avoid losing Bijol and to build a squad capable of surviving the Premier League.

Leeds must schedule his medical in the coming days and ensure that he’s fully on board to move to Elland Road and that he’ll not get swayed by any other club’s interest.
