An Edinburgh veteran has said he wants an alleged thief to return a piece of fabric which acts as a fob for a set of keys.
James Powell, who owns The Tasty Hog Company, received the piece of fabric from an old mentor who gifted it to him after he completed his first parachute jump.
The item is over 35-years-old and holds immense sentimental value for the ex-service man.

The alleged theft is understood to have taken place on Redford Gardens.
“It sounds silly but even if they can put the key hobs through the letter box or drop it on the drive then that would be hugely appreciated,” he said. “I’d really like it back.

“It’s part of the parachute you keep from your first jump, only this one was handed to me by an old mentor as a well done for qualifying. It’s easily over 35-years-old.”
The alleged thief is understood to have taken wallets, purses and various sets of keys on Saturday June 14.
James spoke to Edinburgh Live in the hope of alerting other businesses and residents in the area.
