Rose started playing for Italy after being asked by the country’s President to play for the national team, where she went on to scoop the 1984 version of the women’s World Cup.

During her career, the Scots star also played with clubs, including A.C.F. Milan, Bari, and A.C.F. Prato.

Sharing her visit to the restaurant on Facebook, Bella Vita said: “One of the biggest names of women’s football, Rose Reilly (Italian world champion women’s football), presenting Pollock Walking Football with a new trophy.

“Thank you, Tommy Sheridan, and all players, we all at Bella Vita loved sponsoring your team, Forza Pollock!”
