New mothers are being targeted by gambling companies as they carry out night feeds.
That’s according to a Longford counselling service, which says there has been a rise in problem gambling among women.
Companies, it says, are taking advantage of young mothers who may be looking for extra finances after giving birth.
Katie Anne O’Toole is a counsellor with the Longford Problem Gambling Awareness Service.
She says there’s a growing trend of problem gambling among women:
