The Queen’s Club Championships is drawing ever closer, but changes are being made to the tournament up until the last minute.
It has been the WTA Tour who have been competing at Queen’s this week, resulting in a somewhat surprising final between Amanda Anisimova and Tatjana Maria.
Next week it will be the turn of the men, but defending champion Tommy Paul has already withdrawn from Queen’s and has admitted that he is ‘crushed’ to do so.
Paul is not the only big name to withdraw from the Queen’s Club Championships, with a former champion and world number three now pulling out.

It has been a challenging year for Grigor Dimitrov, who has recently made unwanted history after retiring at his last four Grand Slam tournaments due to injury.
Dimitrov won the first two sets of his first round match against Ethan Quinn at Roland Garros this year, but was forced to retire after losing the third due to a thigh issue.
The Bulgarian has already retired from four matches this year, and has now postponed the start to his grass court season.
Despite appearing in the draw for the Queen’s Club Championships, where Dimitrov won the title in 2014, he has now withdrawn from the tournament.

Dimitrov was supposed to play Gael Monfils, but he will now be replaced by a lucky loser after withdrawing from the prestigious grass court event.
The world number 19 is not scheduled to play any more tournaments before Wimbledon, and is now in a race against time for the Grand Slam where he is a former semi-finalist.
Who are the top seeds at the Queen’s Club Championships this year?
While there have been many big name withdrawals from the tournament this year, the field is still led by five-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz who has now arrived at Queen’s.
Alcaraz won the Queen’s title in 2023, and with Dimitrov’s withdrawal is now the only former singles champion in the draw.
In his first tournament since winning Roland Garros, Alcaraz will face strong competition from the likes of Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz, Holger Rune, Alex de Minaur, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe and Jakub Mensik.
Alcaraz will also face a tricky opener in his first round match against his compatriot Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
That is one of many eye-catching first round matches including Rune-Matteo Arnaldi, Mensik-Cameron Norrie and De Minaur-Jiri Lehecka.
The main draw of the men’s tournament at Queen’s will get underway on Monday June 16.
