Police have closed a major street in Edinburgh amid an ongoing incident.

There is currently a large police presence in attendance on Cowgate following a report of concern for a person at around 6pm on June 15.

Emergency services are on the scene, and the public is being advised to avoid the area, reports Edinburgh Live.

“Emergency services are in attendance and drivers and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area.”
