The Radio City star is back for daily musings with a friend

Leanne Campbell has announced a new career venture with a past co-host. The radio host broadcast her final show for Hits Radio, formerly known as Radio City, having co-hosted the show for more than 10 years last week.
The programme was the only one left on Hits Radio Liverpool that had a direct Merseyside link, after the Radio City breakfast show was combined with the one broadcast on Lancashire’s Rock FM – which Joel hosted. The Liverpool station and 14 others across the country were rebranded to Hits Radio last April.
Since the news was announced in March, a wave of support for the presenters was shared online. Parent company Bauer Media revealed that it would scrap local and regional breakfast shows on all of its Hits Radio stations for the whole of England and Wales from June 9.
Just a week after her final show on Hits Radio, the beloved radio personality has announced a new venture with a familiar voice. Reuniting with her former co-host Dave Kelly, the pair are launching a brand-new podcast: Leanne and Dave’s Daily Dose.
Leanne and Dave first teamed up in 2014 on Radio City, broadcasting live from the iconic Radio City Tower. Their chemistry quickly made them one of Liverpool’s most popular breakfast teams, attracting record audience numbers and winning multiple industry accolades.
The pair parted ways when Dave moved to the Cayman Islands, but now they’re back and ready to deliver their signature style in podcast form.
The new show promises “daily nonsense and opinions that no one has asked for,” blending light-hearted commentary with heartfelt conversations about the issues that matter most to their hometown.

With decades of experience between them, Leanne and Dave are offering a refreshing, unfiltered – but still family-friendly – take on the day’s news and local stories.
Leanne said: “You can expect all the fun and all the laughter—slightly less filtered, but still OK for family listening. We’ll be covering the local topics, and once again we’ll champion this amazing city and all the amazing things happening in it.”
Dave said: “I can’t wait to get going, I have missed working with Leanne and the interaction from the listeners is like nowhere else in the world. Scouse humour is unmatched!”
Leanne and Dave’s Daily Dose will be released Monday-Thursday and is available on-demand via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, TuneIn, and ACAST.
As well as Leanne and Dave’s Daily Dose from Monday-Thursday, Leanne’s ‘Ladies of Liverpool’ podcast, which is now on season 4, will be available every Friday.
