If you’ve strolled through the Arndale recently, you may have noticed the signs for the new Sephora that is set to open later this year. The beauty retailer launched its first store in the north in the Trafford Centre in May of last year and its grand opening was so successful, queues backed all the way up into the car park.
Until now, the opening date of the Arndale store has been kept quietly under wraps. But the Manchester Evening News can exclusively reveal it will open its doors to the public on Friday, August 1 2025.
It is set to take over 4,618 square feet on the lower ground of the Arndale next to other beauty giant, Superdrug. The unit used to be home to the H&M-owned fashion retailer, Monki, which shuttered back in January after occupying the space for almost seven years.

Manchester Arndale with be Sephora UK’s tenth store, following the recently opened location In Liverpool One and the new shop in Sheffield’s Meadowhall Shopping Centre, set to open next month. Sephora UK’s current store locations include Westfield London, Westfield Stratford City, Manchester’s Trafford Centre, Newcastle’s Eldon Square, Gateshead’s Metro Centre, Birmingham Bullring and Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent.
Despite being the second store in the city, the opening day promises to be as unmissable as the Trafford Centre launch. Shoppers can expect a ribbon-cutting ceremony as well as exclusive goodie bags and the chance to spin a wheel to win some top prizes.
